17 January 2009.
The date that marked one of the craziest moments in my life. (As of now, of course) I’m hoping…or rather, already ‘seeing’ that I’m bound to have more crazy escapades in this lifetime. It started as a casual birthday invitation for dearest Kimberley. The dress code requested by our birthday girl, is crazy unique already. We are all to wear a dress. “Great.” – I had muttered in the beginning. The upcoming event already sounds crazy to me then. I threw open my wardrobe door and started scanning my clothes. It didn’t take me long, I don’t have that many dresses anyway. (That reminds me, I need to get more dresses. Darn.) So, since I was in the mood to play doll, I decided to go with my new dress which I got some time back. Lo and behold, I was ready and me and Sophia first went to get Kim a lovely present before taking off to Pavilion, making our way to Pancake House.
Well, we were one of the earliest to arrive. When we got there, it was just Kim, Eva, Pui Mun and Hui Shan. We waited for a while, and soon everyone came. Then, it was FOOD! (Forgive the hungry child) The food was great! I don’t mean superb, but I think its good.
! And not bad, its about RM 15 ++. While waiting for our food to arrive, we took so many pictures! Unbelievable! Look at the gallery to see how fascinated we are with ourselves and the cameras. (Yes, I admit, we’re VAIN!) The waiter, Andro, was kind enough to take group pictures for us. Voluntarily. And I realized that, so far, only the waiters in Pancake House are almost the nicest.
So while we were done with lunch, and just chatting, catching up, this waiter (not Andro) came up to me, and cleared my plate, and decided he’d have a little chat with me. This was roughly how it went:
Waiter: Are you a student?
Me: Yes.
Waiter: Oh, so you’re a ‘trainee’? (He actually meant ‘CHINESE’)
Me: Trainee? What? Trainee for what? *scratches head, furrowed brows*
Waiter: No, no, ‘trainee’, Malaysian ‘trainee’.
Me: OH! Chinese! Yes yes, I’m Malaysian Chinese. *Finally the word Chinese dawned on me*
Waiter: Ah, ok. *turns away*
Me: *slightly baffled but was fast enough to catch the episode right in front of me*
Waiter: (same guy, to Pui Mun, who sat across me) Oh! You didn’t finish your taco.
Pui Mun: No, I was full already.
Waiter: Oh, don’t have to worry about your body. It’s already sexy. *turns and walks away*
Me & Pui Mun (and everybody else who has already crowd on our side of the table): *stares* OH MY GOD!!! So weird!
At that moment, everyone started asking, “Oh man, what did he say? Why did he say it? Oh my god, that’s so weird, etc”. You know the drill.
And we thought we were strange. Seriously? Lol. Oh well, that’s the little event that caused a little buzz during lunch. Sophia, Kim Lee, Ab and Vincent left early. So it was just the 6 of us, KIM, Eva, Pui Mun, Hui Shan, Devis and Me. Out of the restaurant and into the restroom. As usual, our camwhore area. Stupid camera of mine. Not enough that I’ve been told the day after that the camera’s settings were off, it was also in CHINESE! Man, how would I know the setting was off if I can’t read chinese?? *grumbles grumbles* Oh, and while we were still in Pavilion, and camwhoring here and there, we were facing the main entrance, and taking pictures with the decorations and all. We wanted a full group picture, and so we tried searching for someone to help us take a picture. KIM, suddenly spotted this group of guys which she claimed to be cute (But I’m not so sure myself, cause I didn’t really bother, all I know is there’s a tall guy, and 2 others), and she was literally jumping with excitement with the idea of asking one of them to take our picture. Eva actually dared Kim to go ask the guys. WHICH SHE DID!!! Hui Shan actually thought she was going to ask the tall guy, but apparently not. Now, on Facebook, a few of our pictures are just Kim, Hui Shan and Devis drooling over the ATZ guys or something like that. (The tall guy was wearing this ATZ shirt or something) Man, I didn’t know you girls were so observant, you even knew what shoes he wore??! You guys are nuts! After the camwhoring sessions, we decided to walk over to Sungei Wang. Please DO NOT ask me why we wanted to go to Sungei Wang on a Saturday, when we were all dressed up. It’s all because of Devis and her cheap window shopping. Nyahahahaa.
So we actually did walk over and GOOD GOD!! I wanted to cry! We went to the top floor and already I was suffocating. (Mind you, I do NOT like crowds, and the type of crowds hanging out in Sungei Wang was like a double blow) (God, I sound so snobbish right now, SORRY! But it’s true. HMPH!) Anyway, I had to WAIT for them to finish window shopping on that floor, the clothes were…well, cheap! But definitely not something my dad and mom would ever want me to wear. Not that I would anyway. I still can’t find anything that catches my eye throughout the whole time walking around Sungei Wang. Finally, after much walking, and persuasion, we decided to walk back to Lecka-Lecka right opposite Pavilion. We quickly grabbed this nice seat, towards the end. We were leafing through the menu, taking more pictures, when a group of Mat Rempits, walked past us, and started yelling at us, like they’re so cool. This was what they said (roughly):
Me: *taking pictures of friends looking through menus*
Mat Rempits: Mari ambil gambar dengan saya *loads of unprocessed noise*
Us: *stunned* What the hell…*silence*
Mat Rempits: Alah, semua sombong, Cina sombong seksi *more unprocessed noise*
Us: *more silence*
THEN, they left! Thank GOD!!! Such assholes. Racists at that too! HmpH! We were most disturbed, and decided to grab ourselves to the inner parts of Lecka-Lecka and continue with our picture taking and menu reading. We debated for quite some time as to what drinks we would want to order. You see, the birthday girl, has some plans to be slightly drunk at 5PM IN THE EVENING!!! I swear she brainwashed everyone to try it!! I was quite reluctant in the beginning, even though they assured me that I won’t get drunk. You could practically see me narrowing my eyes at them. So…the problem was…Blue Island? Or….Sex On The Beach? Nyahahahahha, yup yup, that’s the name of the drinks. Cocktails. There were more, but I can’t remember them now. Since we thought it’d be good to try something new, and we were almost wild, we settled on Sex On The Beach, as I’m sure you all would’ve figured it out by now. So when the waiter came to take our order, we were like, ‘Damn, should we tell him, or how???’. LOL. In the end, we POINTED at the menu. How SAD can we get?? We were bold enough to try it, but not bold enough to SAY IT OUT LOUD. Har har har. What a weird bunch of girls.
Then we were debating again, guessing what colour our drink would be. Most of us bet it was orange-y, yellow-ish, sunset sorta colour. But when the drink came, we were ALL WRONG!!! It was green-ish blue. With cherries in it. Then, we all had shots of each one of us gulping it down! Nyahahaahah, we were sad, but the drink tastes good! Even though it was vodka and something something…and I am sure there was liquor in it too…it was good! Fruity taste. yummy! We all had 2 shots! Woo-hoo! We even made plans to come back at the end of January for another night out! Great! I don’t think I need to say anymore, the pictures would be a good story teller.
After that, we all did become a little wild. KIM especially. Oh well, it’s HER birthday so she has every right. Even if she was dragging us along! LOL! Devis and I had plans to have dinner with Shin Yi that night, so after Pui Mun, Hui Shan, and Eva left, it was just me, Devis and Kim. We strolled back to Pavilion and walked around a little, then Kim left. So it was just me and Devis. Looking at the traffic, we figured it’s better if we left then, with my sister (don’t mind how she suddenly comes into the picture) to have dinner at Ampang instead. Good thing, luck was on our side, we weren’t quite stuck in the jam. The last event was dinner at Nando’s with Shin Yi. Great food. I even met Abe and his family there! What a great coincidence. Haha! Good to see you again, pal.
!
So that sums up the entire day. And I have to say, it is indeed a damn long post. Do forgive me, I wouldn’t blame you for NOT wanting to read it. You must’ve dozed off somewhere in the middle. But it seems like such a great day, that if I were to edit any parts away, I might as well not blog about it at all.
Oh well, I’ve came this far. I hope I didn’t bore you all to death. Oh and by the way, I’ll put in the pictures, tonight. If you want to see more pictures, Facebook would be good. You’d all know which album to look for. *winks*
Cheers,all.
