Happy Chinese New Year!

I suspect, in almost every blog you read these days, this would be the heading. Happy Chinese New Year everyone. :)

P.S. I will update soon. On the events that took place prior to Chinese New Year. Also, do be informed that I have another Late Night Show with Loony Zoony coming right up! Whee! Thanks Granpa Daryl! ;D!

Enjoy your holidays, everyone. :) I’m definitely going to miss mine.

Calvin and Hobbes? Save me?

Ok, here’s the story.

I. Am. Bored.

The End.

God save me. I’m at work, and I am supposed to have a long list of things to do, which I am slowly eliminating them one by one, but I am bored. I have nothing else to do, no one’s talking to me online, no one’s sending me emails, nothing’s happening on Facebook, and my brain is half – dead!!! There MUST be something I can do!! Plus, on top of that, I am all alone! My boss has gone to Singapore, so there’ll be no gossips or anything today, but! Miss Meena is coming back! Whee, I get to see her after…a month?! Haha, oh well. So here I am, blogging. About what I have no idea. Hmm.

Oh by the way, a very Happy Birthday to Jeff, U Shen, and Yung Sen! Yup yup, their birthday! :D ! I’m most probably going out for dinner with Jeff and his family tonight, I hope it works out. :)

…Is that it?? I have nothing more to say??? Darn. I need to get a life. I need to do something “life altering” as quoted from Jeff. Bungee jumping would be good, don’t you think? If only I’m not so afraid of heights. :-/

Don’t expect to see the last of me for today. The day is still long and I have so much time on my hands that it’s not even funny. Right. Maybe I’ll go read Calvin and Hobbes now. They’re fun. AHHHHHH!!!!!

*poof!*

“Sex On The Beach”. Yeaaahhh, baby! LOL.

17 January 2009.

The date that marked one of the craziest moments in my life. (As of now, of course) I’m hoping…or rather, already ‘seeing’ that I’m bound to have more crazy escapades in this lifetime. It started as a casual birthday invitation for dearest Kimberley. The dress code requested by our birthday girl, is crazy unique already. We are all to wear a dress. “Great.” – I had muttered in the beginning. The upcoming event already sounds crazy to me then. I threw open my wardrobe door and started scanning my clothes. It didn’t take me long, I don’t have that many dresses anyway. (That reminds me, I need to get more dresses. Darn.) So, since I was in the mood to play doll, I decided to go with my new dress which I got some time back. Lo and behold, I was ready and me and Sophia first went to get Kim a lovely present before taking off to Pavilion, making our way to Pancake House.

Well, we were one of the earliest to arrive. When we got there, it was just Kim, Eva, Pui Mun and Hui Shan. We waited for a while, and soon everyone came. Then, it was FOOD! (Forgive the hungry child) The food was great! I don’t mean superb, but I think its good. :D ! And not bad, its about RM 15 ++. While waiting for our food to arrive, we took so many pictures! Unbelievable! Look at the gallery to see how fascinated we are with ourselves and the cameras. (Yes, I admit, we’re VAIN!) The waiter, Andro, was kind enough to take group pictures for us. Voluntarily. And I realized that, so far, only the waiters in Pancake House are almost the nicest. :) So while we were done with lunch, and just chatting, catching up, this waiter (not Andro) came up to me, and cleared my plate, and decided he’d have a little chat with me. This was roughly how it went:

Waiter: Are you a student?

Me: Yes.

Waiter: Oh, so you’re a ‘trainee’? (He actually meant ‘CHINESE’)

Me: Trainee? What? Trainee for what? *scratches head, furrowed brows*

Waiter: No, no, ‘trainee’, Malaysian ‘trainee’.

Me: OH! Chinese! Yes yes, I’m Malaysian Chinese. *Finally the word Chinese dawned on me*

Waiter: Ah, ok. *turns away*

Me: *slightly baffled but was fast enough to catch the episode right in front of me*

Waiter: (same guy, to Pui Mun, who sat across me) Oh! You didn’t finish your taco.

Pui Mun: No, I was full already.

Waiter: Oh, don’t have to worry about your body. It’s already sexy. *turns and walks away*

Me & Pui Mun (and everybody else who has already crowd on our side of the table): *stares* OH MY GOD!!! So weird!

At that moment, everyone started asking, “Oh man, what did he say? Why did he say it? Oh my god, that’s so weird, etc”. You know the drill.

And we thought we were strange. Seriously? Lol. Oh well, that’s the little event that caused a little buzz during lunch. Sophia, Kim Lee, Ab and Vincent left early. So it was just the 6 of us, KIM, Eva, Pui Mun, Hui Shan, Devis and Me. Out of the restaurant and into the restroom. As usual, our camwhore area. Stupid camera of mine. Not enough that I’ve been told the day after that the camera’s settings were off, it was also in CHINESE! Man, how would I know the setting was off if I can’t read chinese?? *grumbles grumbles* Oh, and while we were still in Pavilion, and camwhoring here and there, we were facing the main entrance, and taking pictures with the decorations and all. We wanted a full group picture, and so we tried searching for someone to help us take a picture. KIM, suddenly spotted this group of guys which she claimed to be cute (But I’m not so sure myself, cause I didn’t really bother, all I know is there’s a tall guy, and 2 others), and she was literally jumping with excitement with the idea of asking one of them to take our picture. Eva actually dared Kim to go ask the guys. WHICH SHE DID!!! Hui Shan actually thought she was going to ask the tall guy, but apparently not. Now, on Facebook, a few of our pictures are just Kim, Hui Shan and Devis drooling over the ATZ guys or something like that. (The tall guy was wearing this ATZ shirt or something) Man, I didn’t know you girls were so observant, you even knew what shoes he wore??! You guys are nuts! After the camwhoring sessions, we decided to walk over to Sungei Wang. Please DO NOT ask me why we wanted to go to Sungei Wang on a Saturday, when we were all dressed up. It’s all because of Devis and her cheap window shopping. Nyahahahaa.

So we actually did walk over and GOOD GOD!! I wanted to cry! We went to the top floor and already I was suffocating. (Mind you, I do NOT like crowds, and the type of crowds hanging out in Sungei Wang was like a double blow) (God, I sound so snobbish right now, SORRY! But it’s true. HMPH!) Anyway, I had to WAIT for them to finish window shopping on that floor, the clothes were…well, cheap! But definitely not something my dad and mom would ever want me to wear. Not that I would anyway. I still can’t find anything that catches my eye throughout the whole time walking around Sungei Wang. Finally, after much walking, and persuasion, we decided to walk back to Lecka-Lecka right opposite Pavilion. We quickly grabbed this nice seat, towards the end. We were leafing through the menu, taking more pictures, when a group of Mat Rempits, walked past us, and started yelling at us, like they’re so cool. This was what they said (roughly):

Me: *taking pictures of friends looking through menus*

Mat Rempits: Mari ambil gambar dengan saya *loads of unprocessed noise*

Us: *stunned* What the hell…*silence*

Mat Rempits: Alah, semua sombong, Cina sombong seksi *more unprocessed noise*

Us: *more silence*

THEN, they left! Thank GOD!!! Such assholes. Racists at that too! HmpH! We were most disturbed, and decided to grab ourselves to the inner parts of Lecka-Lecka and continue with our picture taking and menu reading. We debated for quite some time as to what drinks we would want to order. You see, the birthday girl, has some plans to be slightly drunk at 5PM IN THE EVENING!!! I swear she brainwashed everyone to try it!! I was quite reluctant in the beginning, even though they assured me that I won’t get drunk. You could practically see me narrowing my eyes at them. So…the problem was…Blue Island? Or….Sex On The Beach? Nyahahahahha, yup yup, that’s the name of the drinks. Cocktails. There were more, but I can’t remember them now. Since we thought it’d be good to try something new, and we were almost wild, we settled on Sex On The Beach, as I’m sure you all would’ve figured it out by now. So when the waiter came to take our order, we were like, ‘Damn, should we tell him, or how???’. LOL. In the end, we POINTED at the menu. How SAD can we get?? We were bold enough to try it, but not bold enough to SAY IT OUT LOUD. Har har har. What a weird bunch of girls.

Then we were debating again, guessing what colour our drink would be. Most of us bet it was orange-y, yellow-ish, sunset sorta colour. But when the drink came, we were ALL WRONG!!! It was green-ish blue. With cherries in it. Then, we all had shots of each one of us gulping it down! Nyahahaahah, we were sad, but the drink tastes good! Even though it was vodka and something something…and I am sure there was liquor in it too…it was good! Fruity taste. yummy! We all had 2 shots! Woo-hoo! We even made plans to come back at the end of January for another night out! Great! I don’t think I need to say anymore, the pictures would be a good story teller. :)

After that, we all did become a little wild. KIM especially. Oh well, it’s HER birthday so she has every right. Even if she was dragging us along! LOL! Devis and I had plans to have dinner with Shin Yi that night, so after Pui Mun, Hui Shan, and Eva left, it was just me, Devis and Kim. We strolled back to Pavilion and walked around a little, then Kim left. So it was just me and Devis. Looking at the traffic, we figured it’s better if we left then, with my sister (don’t mind how she suddenly comes into the picture) to have dinner at Ampang instead. Good thing, luck was on our side, we weren’t quite stuck in the jam. The last event was dinner at Nando’s with Shin Yi. Great food. I even met Abe and his family there! What a great coincidence. Haha! Good to see you again, pal. :D !

So that sums up the entire day. And I have to say, it is indeed a damn long post. Do forgive me, I wouldn’t blame you for NOT wanting to read it. You must’ve dozed off somewhere in the middle. But it seems like such a great day, that if I were to edit any parts away, I might as well not blog about it at all. :( Oh well, I’ve came this far. I hope I didn’t bore you all to death. Oh and by the way, I’ll put in the pictures, tonight. If you want to see more pictures, Facebook would be good. You’d all know which album to look for. *winks*

Cheers,all.

Darn.

All good things happen when I have plans. And all good things involve ME.

No folks, this is not quite a very happy event. The happiness is due to the good things that is occuring, and involving me. The downside is due to ME having unchangable, unavoidable plans.

Darn. This sucks.

This is what happens when I’m bored.

Ok folks.

I’m bored. I’m bored, I’m bored, I’m bored. Despite the fact that I’m working, I’m actually bored. I guess I’m tired of the routine. Maybe I think I know what I am craving now. I’m yearning to touch books again. To sit in classes and to listen to boring lessons. I miss STUDYING! God, I am such a NERD! Sure, working has definitely helped me in many ways. I’m bolder than who I used to be, and I almost love it. I know how to do stuff, which is even cooler. But I still miss studying. Everyone around me is studying, going for classes, and I’m stuck here. It’s sad. As much as I would inwardly curse myself later on for saying this, I simply can’t help it. Maybe, soon, when I’m actually in class, going through all the boring lectures, I’d be thinking, “God, why did I want this so much?”, yet, I’m sure I would have fun. What’s life if you don’t find fun in everything you do? :) Says the mad girl. Anyway, part 3 of ‘The Adventures of Princess Zoonie’, would be coming up soon, so hang on there, pals! :D !

On my MSN personal message, I wrote, ‘a funny thing, love is’. A few have asked why it’s funny. I had to ponder on that myself, for a moment. I had no idea why I thought of that, but it popped into my head. That’s me, everything pops into my head and I purge them all out. Sometimes without thinking too. So, I had to think, what I truly meant by that phrase. I realized, that love is indeed a funny thing. And I don’t mean it makes you laugh. Love is happy, love is sad, love is painful, love is joy, love is strong, love is weak, love is silly too. Love can save you, yet it can also kill you. Love can also hate. Love can make you crazy, yet it can be the only thing keeping you sane. And I believe love is a hell lot more, but you get my drift. Now, don’t you think its funny? You know what? I think it does make you laugh, this love thing. I meant the oh-I’ve-gone-mental kind of laugh. Mwahahahaha.

Sigh. I better go look for something interesting online. Before I start day-dreaming. I need to clean my room. Hmph.

Konsert Jelajah Koir Kebangsaan 2008 Part 2

I trust all of you must have been impatient with me, for not updating since new year now. Do forgive me, you shall have your story soon enough.

So, our next trip was to be at Negeri Sembilan. That was just a one-day trip, and it was the Konsort that is to go with the Juniors. It wasn’t much to talk about there, but the acoustic was good. So the sound and all were pretty great. It was a good concert there.

Then, we had our concert in Shah Alam. Again, one-day thing, so nothing much to talk about.

Now comes the exciting part. Hehe. (Amazing how I can be so lazy to talk about a one-day thing, but not worried about having to talk about a trip of a few days.)

12 December 2008

The day we took off to Johor. Actually, the right term, would be ‘night’. We left Istana Budaya pretty late..almost midnight, cause we had to wait for our conductor to arrive. He had a show all the way in Putrajaya or something, so we had to wait for him. Not even one tenth of the journey, we stopped at some petrol station. One by one, we were going down to look for food. As there was a McDonald’s there, go figure. I was unlucky cause I had food poisoning for the past week. But it wasn’t the hard-core one. No vomiting, no toilet-visiting (thank god) but I definitely had nausea, back aches, headaches, and all that would make you feel really uncomfortable.

13 December 2008

The journey was about…5 hours. We reached the hotel, Seri Malaysia Hotel at approximately 5am in the morning. So you can imagine, all 30 people, crowding the lobby with the luggage, waiting for rooms to be distributed, sleepy, and tired. I got to share a room with Yi Vonn and Chermaine, this time, and our room was on the ground floor. But seeing that we were sleepy, disoriented and foolish probably, we followed our mates all the way to the third floor, lugging our bags, and THERE WAS NO ELEVATORS!!! We had to climb stairs, and the three foolish girls, climbed all the way to the third floor only to realize that our room is ALL THE WAY DOWN!!! AHHHH! How frustrating. At the moment, I wanted to just throw myself all the way down, hoping I’d still be intact after the fall. That was how sleepy I was. Anyway, we got ourselves sleep…and woke up pretty early too. We were to meet at 12pm, but no point sleeping til 11am when you have 3 girls in a room, and knowing each would take some time to get ready. Unfortunately for us, we were too late for breakfast. Good thing I had biscuits, and it was just nice, 3 packets; one each. At 12pm, we went for our rehearsal. We were to have our concert at RTM Johor. The place was nice. The piano has yet to arrive, sadly. We had to practice with a really out of tune piano.

The clock keeps ticking and soon, we were all ready for the concert. It went very well. Although I have to say, our audience was pretty passive. We gave all that we had, and it was quite…I wouldn’t say funny, but…oh whatever the word is, we couldn’t have been better. *great big smile!*  We had our supper, and it was mee rebus. The funny thing was…they wouldn’t give us enough kuah! Instead of the mee rebus we were supposed to have, it turned out into some sort of spaghetti like noodles. LOL. We took A LOT of pictures after that. I don’t have the pictures with me now, they’re mostly with Chee Kan, and I have yet to get them from him. Tunku Marina and Abang Amri agreed that this was one of our best performances ever. How glad we all were. After that, we went back to the hotel, as it was pretty late. I believed some went out for a second late night supper, but I was simply too tired to go out. It was a good night.

14 December 2008

As always, we were getting ready to go for our volunteer work. Besides that, we had to pack as we were moving back to KL after that. This time, the three of us made it for breakfast! Whee! Nothing much to be happy about, the food wasn’t that great, but oh well, what more can you expect. This time, we were to go to this shelter home (I can’t remember the name!), where children are abused, or abandoned, or placed there temporary, while waiting for the parents to sort out their court problems and whatnot. It was actually very sad. There was a baby…about a year, more or less. She was so adorable, and she looks at you with such sorrow in her eyes… She takes anyone who would want to carry her, and she didn’t cry one bit! She’s innocent in every way. But it wasn’t so easy to make her smile. She rarely smiles. She has a sister, hmm…about 7 years old? I’m not too sure. She’s a quiet child. She carries the same sorrow on her face as the little one, but only much deeper. She wouldn’t talk to anyone else, but she was quite receptive to Kak Nelly. And the other kids were rascals! There was one girl…about 3 years old I think, or younger…she’s reserved. Apparently, she was found in the market, all alone! How horrible! Ever since then, she has difficulty connecting with people. So we played with the children, talked to them, had lunch with them. A few little girls were going around asking for all our numbers. Haha. It was sad when we had to leave. Though all we can do now, is to wish them well and all the best in their lives. *Sigh* After that, we went on, to this big shopping complex. The minute we started exploring the place, guess what I found..?? A CHOCOLATE SHOP! And they were duty free! Whee! It was like..my heaven! I practically drooled all over the place! And I had difficulty choosing what to buy! In the end, I had to satisfy myself with…A big bar of Richfields Milk Chocolate (from New Zealand, it says) for my daddy. A smaller bar of Richfields Fruit and Nut Chocolate bar for my mommy. Another bar of White Chocolate for my sister. And, a big bar of Cadbury Old Gold Dark Chocolate…for yours truly! :D! Hehehe. Nothing much after that, it was all the way home. We reached KL by midnight. More or less. Ah! My memory is failing me!

Well, the story ends there. You simply have to wait for pictures, as I don’t have them now. My next post…which would be Part 3, would be up in a bit. Once I extract everything out and put them into words. Part 3 would be based in Terengganu. Cool huh? ;)

Til then, everyone.

Hello 2009.

Happy New Year to all! Happy 2009! My first post for year 2009. 2008 held many memorable moments for me, and I should think, that each day I lived the previous year, I learnt a lesson, somehow. I may not have realized it at that point, but now, looking back…it feels like everything was important and I should just carve them into my memories with a chisel, so I don’t forget.  I am actually very curious about this new year, 2009. I suppose it happens to me every year. I don’t know what will happen, I cannot guess. Ah…it’s a twisted feeling, I have to say. Oh well, I’m just going to stop trying to explain, I’m sure you all know how it feels.

*raise champagne glass (or whatever drink you happen to have in hand)*

This is for you, 2009.

Cheers. :)
